About RJ
I am a devotee of Iyengar Yoga and Vipassana/Mindful Meditation practice. I have been receiving yoga instruction directly through the lineage of BKS Iyengar at the Iyengar Institute of LA for over a decade and following a meditative path for 15 years. My teaching style is Hatha/Iyengar based, focussing on alignment, restorative postures and breathing techniques as a complete healing system. I love to incorporate mantra, meditation and ceremony into my classes and encourage students to develop reverence for the teaching and technology that is available through yoga as a philosophy and a science. Classes are perfect for those looking for a meditative and restorative class, seeking relaxation and flexibility, and are looking for ways to prepare their bodies for deeper meditation and self healing work as yoga was originally intended. Vinyasa and flow are incorporated according to the students preference and needs. Special classes are available on request for women who are feeling disconnected from their root and sacral chakras and seeking to be more present within their bodies for self empowerment and healing work, invoking the principles of Sri Vidya, mindfulness, restorative yoga and Zen Tantric practices. A recent graduate of Shivakali Yoga’s Teacher Training, I am currently teaching out of a small private studio in Los Feliz and am available for private and group sessions. Community and donation based classes will be available soon.

Details
Private classes are avilable at a rate of $90 for 60 minutes and $120 for 90 minutes. 90 minutes are recommended for all new students, especially beginner students to encourage ease of learning in a new environment. Travel fees will be added if teacher is required to travel.
