About Julia
I am a fourth year medical student planning to apply to emergency medicine residency this fall. I scored in the top 0.5% on the PSAT in high school, and was a National Merit Scholar. I also scored in the 97th+ percentile on the ACT and SAT, and the 98th percentile on the MCAT. I have taken my test taking skills to tutoring in the past and tutored students in elementary, middle, high school, and in college, including for MCAT prep! In my free time, I love fostering puppies, playing the violin and guitar, cooking, and exploring new hobbies. I'd love to get to know you!

Learning is different for everyone, and as such, my approach to teaching is highly individualized! I start by meeting with students and discussing their needs and goals, and what they feel works best for them when learning (or if that is something we need to explore!) Each tutoring session is interactive, and generally geared towards what the student wants to accomplish and our timeline. I then provide resources to work through for our next session. I love tutoring students at all stages, from younger children in primary school to high schoolers working through standardized test prep to pre-med students trying to nail their MCAT! I believe everyone has the capacity to learn and excel, and we can work together to find the best approach for you :)
