About Treasure
Hello, my name is Treasure, and I realised that I enjoyed tutoring when I was in sixth form. After helping one of my mum’s friend’s sons with his sciences, and hearing the great reviews that his teacher had left, saying that he had improved so much, I found such satisfaction in that, and knew I wanted to continue doing so. Being a third year medical student at Imperial College, I’ve always had a desire to help people, and tutoring is just another way for me to do that. I think it’s important that people are able to remember concepts they learn and apply it to questions and exams, so I will always make sure that the exam technique is on point, and that you remember what I’ve taught you, using mini quizzes and questions. I also like to keep in contact with parents, so they can share their opinions and thoughts too, and that way, the student learning experience is collaborative between the parents, students and tutors. I’m kind and friendly, and I think patience is important, so a student won’t have to be worried if they don’t understand something straight away- that’s the whole point of having a tutor! In my free time, I like to watch movies and TV shows (specifically K-dramas and reality TV). I also like to sing and play piano- I love music. I speak a little bit of Spanish, and I’ve been meaning to get back into actively learning. I’m excited to get to know you and help you reach your full academic potential.

5+ years of experience in tutoring. My tutoring approaches usually involve 1 to 2-hour sessions where, with a school/exam curriculum in mind, I systematically go through different topics each week, trying to be varied, but taking opportunities to refresh on past learning by mini quizzes and tests. I’m used to both online and in-person tutoring, so I know how to make learning fun and interactive no matter what the teaching medium is. I teach Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from primary school (11+) up to and including GCSE level.
