About Mihir
I am a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering and Commerce conjoint student at the University of Auckland with a strong academic background in Math, Physics and Chemistry.
I completed Cambridge A-Levels in Math, Physics and Chemistry and have three years of one-on-one tutoring experience. Having studied these subjects at a high level myself, I understand the challenges students can face and the importance of explaining difficult concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I am patient, reliable and organized, and I tailor each lesson to the individual student. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and develop a stronger understanding of the subject.
I tutor students from all school year levels up to Year 13, with particular experience in Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level Math, Physics and Chemistry. I can also support NCEA students with their learning, revision and exam preparation.
I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through problems at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is focused on helping students understand concepts clearly rather than simply memorising formulas or methods. I break difficult topics down into simple steps, explain the reasoning behind each concept, and then work through practice questions to build confidence and exam technique.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long and are adapted to each student’s level, goals and areas of difficulty. I can help with homework, topic revision, exam preparation and improving problem-solving skills.
I have 3 years of one-on-one tutoring experience, which I began while I was at school. I am currently a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering and Commerce conjoint student at the University of Auckland. I studied Cambridge A-Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, achieving an A in Maths and A* in both Physics and Chemistry.
I tutor students of all school year levels up to Year 13, with a particular speciality in Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I can also work with students studying NCEA who want additional support with these subjects.
