About Joseph
I have been an actuary with a U.S. government agency for 12 years. I've always loved math, and I also love teaching. I've been teaching Sunday school at my church in Virginia, for about 10 years, and helping others is a great joy and satisfaction for me. I have a wife, Christine, one daughter, and one son on the way!

I make lessons enjoyable, and I know how to get to the root of any mental obstacle. I'm a great communicator, and it's easy for me to see where, in any math problem or concept, things are getting lost in translation. I am very patient, and while many tutors focus on theory, my focus is to get you to be able to know how to do what's required to earn good grades.
A typical lesson plan will start with 5 minutes of reviewing the concept, then practicing basic examples of it, followed by adding progressively more complex examples.
I am ready to teach all math from middle school through college (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trig, calculus, and statistics).
