About Somi
As a Singing tutor with 19 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with approximately 250 High School and College students. My goal is to help students improve their vocal skills while building the confidence needed to perform comfortably and effectively.
My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should be positive, personalized, and inspiring. I believe that every student has musical potential and deserves guidance that matches their individual learning style. Through patience and encouragement, I help students progress step by step.
My lessons cover breathing techniques, vocal warm-ups, pitch improvement, voice development, rhythm training, articulation, and stage presence. I also teach basic music concepts and ear training to support overall musical growth.
One of my notable achievements is helping hundreds of students achieve measurable improvements in their singing abilities. Many have gone on to participate successfully in school and college programs, competitions, and performances. Their success motivates me to continue improving my teaching methods.
I create lesson plans that balance technical skill development with creative expression. By providing constructive feedback and practical exercises, I help students become more confident and capable singers. My mission is to make singing enjoyable while supporting long-term personal and musical growth.

My teaching approach combines adaptability, creativity, and supportive mentorship. Since every student learns differently, I customize lessons according to their learning style, skill level, and musical aspirations. This ensures that each lesson is meaningful and productive.
Students learn essential vocal techniques including breathing control, pitch correction, tone enhancement, vocal projection, and performance preparation. Creative activities and practical exercises help students understand concepts while enjoying the learning process.
To support overall musical growth, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Rhythm Development, Vocal Wellness, Song Interpretation, Music Appreciation, and Performance Skills. These related subjects help students become well-rounded musicians.
I believe diplomacy is key to successful learning. By providing respectful and constructive feedback, I help students remain motivated and confident. My aim is to create a learning experience that encourages personal growth, musical development, and artistic expression.
