About Aimee

With my tutoring services, students don’t just get help with coursework—they gain tools for lifelong academic success. I provide the expertise and mentorship students need to thrive at the highest academic levels. Parent Testimonial (5th grade student): "This year, we have become aware of areas he is struggling academically, and I think this has hit him in his confidence. The first time he met with Dr. Cozad, right when he saw his dad, he said, "I think she made me smarter! It's like she opened the back of my brain and put a smart chip in there!" What she did was help him gain confidence in one session."

About the lesson

As an experienced educator with a doctorate in education and over 20 years in the classroom, I bring both deep subject knowledge and a proven track record of helping students succeed. My goal is simple: to provide personalized support that builds confidence, strengthens skills, and leads to measurable results. What I Offer: Individualized Tutoring Plans – Every student learns differently. I create customized strategies that fit each student’s strengths, needs, and learning style. Subject Expertise – With advanced degrees in literacy and extensive teaching experience, I specialize in reading, writing, and comprehension skills across grade levels. I also support broader academic areas including study skills, test preparation, and content-area literacy. Confidence-Building – Struggling students often know more than they realize. I help students uncover their strengths, overcome challenges, and approach learning with a growth mindset. Proven Strategies – My background in education research and classroom practice means students benefit from evidence-based techniques that really work. Flexible Support – Whether online or in person, short-term test prep or ongoing enrichment, I adapt to what best serves each student. Why Students Succeed with Me: I connect with learners on a personal level, making learning less stressful and more engaging. I focus not only on what to learn, but also on how to learn—teaching strategies that students can carry into every subject. I have helped students raise their grades, improve test scores, and, most importantly, gain the confidence to reach their goals.
