About Me I’m Dr Amanda Roestorf, a Chartered Psychologist (PhD, CPsychol) with over 15 years of experience in autism, neurodiversity, and mental health across the lifespan. I combine academic expertise with real-world impact to support students, professionals, educators, and families to better understand how people think, learn, work, and thrive. My background includes research leadership, diagnostic practice, teaching, mentoring, and public engagement. I’ve worked in universities, healthcare, the charity sector, and alongside employers to create more inclusive systems and support strategies. Whether you're finding your way through education, need some guidance or support to meet neurodivergent learning needs, thinking about starting work or career progression, supporting neurodivergent staff, or dealing with family challenges, I offer tailored support grounded in empathy, evidence, and empowerment.

Dr Amanda Roestorf – Chartered Psychologist, Trainer and Neurodiversity Specialist Supporting learning, wellbeing, and success at every stage of life. Are you looking for expert support that truly understands how you think, learn, and work? I’m a Chartered Psychologist (PhD, CPsychol), specialist researcher, educator and trainer, with over 15 years of experience in autism and neurodiversity across the lifespan. I offer guidance and support in: Psychology, Neurodevelopment & Mental Health theory, research, diagnostic assessment, and real world impact. Neurodevelopmental conditions (including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, OCD, Mental health and wellbeing). Study Skills, Research methods and study design, Ethics for research involving human participants, Academic Writing for reports and publications, Dissertation guidance and support, Grant writing, communicating research to public and non-scientific audiences. Mentoring & Coaching (for students, professionals, parents, and educators). Inclusive Education, Strengths and needs based approaches for learning and development support. Training on Neurodiversity, Mental Health & Employment (for parents/carers, professionals, and employers). Core topics include neurodiversity foundations, supportive education, employment and workplace adjustments, mental health and wellbeing, navigating the system (advocacy, adjustments, and the law), community lived experience involvement and PPIE (patient and public involvement and engagement). I work with: A-level & college students needing support with exams, coursework, or general specialist mentoring support for neurodivergent learning styles. Undergrad & postgrad students tackling research projects or overcoming barriers to build skills and confidence. PhD/postdoc researchers needing clarity, motivation, guidance, or topic expertise. Teachers, employers, and professionals supporting neurodivergent children and young people, and adults. Parents/carers navigating support for autistic or ADHD children (or adults). Sessions are available online or in-person (Please note: In person sessions are available on Fridays only in Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Littlehampton. An extra £10 travel fee applies to each in person session). My approach is tailored, compassionate, and practical. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, unsure, or just want a skilled sounding board, I’m here to support you on your journey.
