My teaching method is designed to be reflective of student needs inspired by class division knowing that people learn at a different rate. It is designed to meet the individual student where they are at.
A reading course for example would require listening to the student to create an individual study plan along with time set apart to read weekly or daily.
A writing course, all hands on,would require an assessment of preferred writing tool, and a graduation from simple writing (or where the student is currently aligned) to more complex free-flow self inspired or creative writing. From there,the student should be able to try out peer review articles or pulling out objective deductions from news or research articles.
