About Olivia
Hi, I’m Olivia! As a former high school student, I’m passionate about helping others unlock their potential and discover the joy of learning. My own experiences with inspiring teachers and tutoring my peers have shown me the power of personalized guidance. I aspire to be a tutor because I love witnessing those “aha” moments when a challenging concept finally clicks. As an engineering student, I also recognize the value of problem-solving skills and want to help others develop these essential tools. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Tutoring is more than just teaching—it's about empowering students to believe in their abilities and reach their goals.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, focusing on adapting to individual needs and learning styles to ensure a thorough understanding of concepts. I use interactive methods like problem-solving exercises, real-life examples, and tips and tricks to make lessons engaging, with regular feedback to build confidence. Working on past papers is an essential part of my approach, helping students apply their knowledge effectively. Having previously tutored high school students in math and physics, I am experienced in breaking down complex topics into manageable steps. Lessons typically last 60 minutes but are flexible based on student needs. I teach Level 1, 2, 3 NCEA students (and below), offering support in foundational skills, exam preparation, and advanced academic enrichment.
