In terms of my teaching I like to ensure that everyone understands a particular thing (for a example a specific language technique such as metaphors) before moving onto something else. My methods include presenting revision techniques that will come hand in hand with the content that is given to the students, so not only are they taught the content but how to remember and use this in their exam. I like using different extracts from various pieces of literature to practice analysis on so that it becomes second nature when doing this for their compulsory books/texts. First I would begin to teach by making sure the content is well understood such as the story line, plot and characters etc. Then I would start to introduce different techniques that are used throughout the texts and how and why these are used. I love making sure that everything is organised when it comes to teaching as sometimes a complexity of a text or a piece of literature can be explained when presenting its connotations in a certain way. This is what I would aim to do.
