About Brett
I am a Mandarin teacher that has a South African father and Taiwanese mother. I currently work in Asset Management in Melbourne, but I have spent half my life living between Taiwan and Australia.
I have a passion for language and speaking to new people, and I love to do that by sharing my language and experiences with new students! I went to university in Taiwan and have a Bachelor's in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (no, seriously!)

My teaching method is purely conversational and learning through real life examples. In my experience, learning a lanaguage is most effective when the language is lived and not learn through a text book. I love engaging with students and showing them that learning a language is not daunting, but more like a game. I approach my topics through learning Mandarin in a way that you can engage locals and fluent speakers in everyday topics.
