About Alex
During my time as an Indigenous law tutor at James Cook University, I loved being a tutor and seeing how much progress my students made over each semester.
I want to be a safe space for students to come to for assistance and advice, as I know a law degree is not easy.
I have been told that I am extremely good at breaking concepts down in a way that is simple and easy for people to understand.
I want to share my knowledge, tips and tricks I have learnt over the last 5 years to make studying law a little bit easier for other people.

- I graduated from James Cook University in Townsville in March 2023 with a Distinction ( GPA of 6)
- I have previously been employed as an Indigenous law tutor at James Cook University in Townsville in 2022 for 12 months while I was finishing the last year of my Bachelor of Laws degree
- My sessions typically range from one to two hours
- My lessons are for university students or post grads that are undertaking their Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, which I have also just completed
- I am on track to be admitted as a solicitor in December 2023
- My approach to teaching is very organised and time management focused
- I assist my students with planning ahead and managing staying on top of content, lectures, tutorials and assessment
- I am able to simply break down legal concepts and provide practical examples to legal issues
- I assist with drafting and editing assessments
- I will never complete the work for you, but will sit with you and prompt you and ensure that you are in the right direction
