About Wentworth
I am a called barrister and practising solicitor with eight years’ experience managing legal cases, including High Court litigation. I achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course.
I am particularly good at making complex concepts understandable and identifying the key information a student needs to know. Drawing on my litigation experience, I explain procedural rules in the context of a real claim: what each step is for, when it matters and how it affects the parties. This helps you understand the reasoning behind the procedure and organise detailed material into a clear framework.
I am a Superprof Ambassador with extensive positive reviews. My approach is patient and thorough, with lessons shaped around your difficulties and the demands of your assessment.
A selection of reviews
‘He was a good tutor, very meticulous, particular and thorough. He really listened to what my requirements were and provided.’
‘Wentworth was a great tutor and I enjoyed and learnt a lot from his teaching techniques.’
‘The quality of teaching is excellent. My tutor Wentworth reads all of the texts I was given on a subject in advance, highlights them and finds further readings on the subject for me to read. His classes are very well structured and he discusses the topics in a way that makes them much more understandable.’
‘He is knowledgeable, engaging and extremely helpful regarding all areas of law. His method of teaching is engaging and fun and he also has a great sense of humour which has made it a lot less stressful. I would whole heartedly recommend Wentworth as a law tutor.’

Civil Litigation can feel like a collection of disconnected rules, deadlines and exceptions. I explain the procedure in clear, manageable steps so you can see how the rules fit together and apply them to exam scenarios.
My practical experience helps me draw out the key rules, deadlines and distinctions in each topic. We use examples to understand why a procedural step is taken, what information matters and how a change in the facts can affect the answer.
I offer focused Civil Litigation and Evidence tuition for Bar Course students, including those preparing for a resit.
Depending on your needs, we can work on:
• Understanding the stages of a civil claim and the relationship between procedural rules.
• Making difficult syllabus topics clear and identifying the key information to learn.
• Applying rules accurately to multiple-choice questions.
• Closed-book recall and question technique for Paper 1.
• Efficient use of the White Book and approaching rolling scenarios for Paper 2.
• Revision methods, timing and recurring mistakes.
You can choose:
• Individual tuition: flexible help with specific topics or questions, agreed before the lesson.
• Ten-session targeted revision programme: ten one-hour lessons with an agreed sequence based on your starting point and priorities. You complete selected practice between sessions; we review your answers, revisit recurring mistakes and adjust the programme as you progress. The final session checks progress against your initial goals and identifies priorities for your remaining revision.
• Civil Litigation Revision and Question Technique Review: A focused 75-minute session examining your revision methods, approach to answering questions and selected areas of knowledge. We explore whether difficulties arise from gaps in knowledge, revision technique, applying procedural rules, interpreting questions, timing or using the White Book. The session includes a short advance questionnaire and concludes with practical recommendations to improve your preparation, including whether further tuition would be beneficial.
• Paired tuition: shared lessons for students with compatible goals, starting levels and exam dates.
The review includes a short advance questionnaire. Recommendations are discussed during the session; it does not assess your knowledge across the entire Civil Litigation and Evidence syllabus.
We use the syllabus and examinable materials applicable to your sitting. The ten-session programme is targeted revision support, with scope agreed before starting.
Please message me with your course provider, intended exam sitting, whether this is a first attempt or resit, and the topics or question types you find most difficult.

Wentworth was a great tutor and I enjoyed and learnt a lot from his teaching techniques. He helped me get a good result in my applied law module in my second year of my degree in Real Estate.
Wentworth successfully defended me in a legal case for which another firm of lawyers advised me against pursuing. In the two years that Wentworth represented me, as a Lawyer he never left a stone unturned, he was informative and had solutions for all aspects of the legal matters that faced us, I always felt like we were working as a team.
