About Suzanne
As a Master’s student in Special Education, I have been tutoring students in French, Math, and Physics for three years. I lived in France as a child and grew up speaking both French and English. This background has given me a deep appreciation for French language and culture. When I was 18, I took a gap year in Paris and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in French from Montana State University. In my lessons, I use the vocabulary and grammar that my students are learning in school and connect it to cultural topics to share my love of the French language. In elementary school, I struggled with arithmetic, but as I continued my education, math became my strongest subject. I ultimately earned a math minor at MSU and completed three honors classes in Physics. This experience has provided me with a unique perspective that emphasizes understanding over memorization. I am passionate about math at all levels and love to share that enthusiasm, helping my students develop a love for the subject too.

What sets me apart is my unique perspective as someone who has overcome similar learning challenges. Growing up with learning disabilities, including severe ADHD and dyslexia while still achieving high academic performance has given me special insight into the struggles many students face. I am good at putting myself in my students' shoes and identifying their needs, and adapting my teaching methods to help them succeed. As someone who struggles at staying focused, I make sure my lessons are engaging and fun.
