About Catrina

¡Hola! I'm Catrina and I'm currently studying languages at university. I grew up in a bilingual household so I am especially well equipped to help with oral skills. I've tutored languages for three years and worked with refugees to improve their language skills in Spanish and French. I know that learning languages at schools can be challenging, and know that some extra support at home can be the difference between a grade 7 and a grade 9. I love helping students achieve their full potential and gain confidence in their abilities! DBS certfied.

About the lesson

My first lesson will be about learning your current ability and working together to create a plan that suits your goal. This helps me create a personalised plan of action for your lessons, tackling any particular areas of interest. My classes will cover exam techniques and practice for GCSE Spanish, and Oral skills and practice for AS and A level students. Each lesson will have a focused skill, through which we will explore the curriculum and expand on vocab, grammar structures and real world application.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Catrina.

Catrina's response
Adrian was a good student, and came with a good attitude to learning, and was good at applying things we learnt in previous lessons. To improve further, learning more vocab independently will definitely help!

Catrina's response
Lindsay works hard in her lessons and is resilient, she always tries her best. She works hard on correcting her mistakes, especially pronunciation and there has definitely been improvement! To keep improving it is a good idea to work on engaging with Spanish media outside of lesson times.

Catrina helped my son with his Spanish gcse, she was very flexible with her times, and she gave good feedback that was easily managed. She worked through difficult concepts that he didn't quite grasp at school. Thank you!
