About Sara
Hi! I’m a third-year Biological Science student with a minor in Neuroscience, and I specialize in helping students actually understand biology—not just memorize it. If you're tired of staring at your notes and still feeling lost, I’ve got you. I’ve helped students from middle school all the way up to first-year university improve their marks and feel more confident in science. I use color-coded notes with clear diagrams, real-world examples, and analogies that stick (yes, I’ll explain the immune system using The Avengers or DNA replication with Gossip Girl—whatever helps it make sense to you!). What sets me apart? I’m not here to lecture—I meet you where you are, explain things in a way that clicks, and make sure you feel comfortable asking any question. As a tutor, I focus on making biology easy to understand and fun to learn. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, and analogies to simplify tough topics. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s needs, whether you're in middle school or first-year university.
Each session includes a quick review, a breakdown of the topic using visuals and analogies, and a short practice section to lock in what we learned. I also share my own colour-coded notes with diagrams—perfect for visual learners and exam prep.
What sets me apart? I make biology relatable. Love Gossip Girl? DNA replication is just Serena (DNA) getting unzipped by helicase (Gossip Girl), with Blair (DNA polymerase) rebuilding her reputation strand by strand. Or into The Avengers? Think of the immune system like the Avengers: white blood cells are the heroes, with killer T cells as Thor—destroying enemies with precision.
