About Miranda
My experience includes College Biology Teaching Assistant USA, Marine Outreach for K-5 USA, Grade 2 Math and Science homeroom teacher in Vietnam, and Grade 7 Cambridge Science Teacher in Vietnam. I also have a TESOL and 4 years of experience teaching students who do not speak English as their first language while living abroad in Vietnam. Currently, I am studying a masters in Biostatistics.

My lessons are fun, engaging, and hands-on. I have a positive and outgoing personality that is sure to keep any student interested and focused on learning. I have taught many ages and levels from first grade through University level, and also work with students who do not speak English as their first language. My typical lesson involves a fun warm-up, an assessment of the student's difficulties, a teaching portion, a practice portion, and then a hands-on activity to review. What really sets me apart is my experience as both a lead teacher, a University tutor, my work in marine outreach which is mostly hands-on science and experiments, and my time spent teaching in Vietnam. This has given me a large number of tools in my teaching toolbox and also exposed me to many different types of students. I am available in Virginia Beach for summer. After school begins in August, I will be pursuing a Master's in Biostatistics at VCU, and will therefore only be available for online learning.
