About Virginia
My third year of medical school at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons involves constant critical thinking. I vividly remember sitting in my own early biology labs wondering how to simplify complex cellular mechanisms. Now, I have taught 43 students across various levels including GCSE and A-level courses. My 3 years of experience allows me to mentor aspiring professionals through their academic journey.

I prefer to anchor our lessons in constant feedback loops rather than lecturing for hours on end. Learning is usually fastest when you stop trying to memorize everything at once and focus on high-yield conceptual links. My background as a Doctor of Medicine Candidate helps me frame topics like evolution, natural selection, and immunology in a clinical context.
We will cover enzymes, metabolism, mitosis, and meiosis with a focus on active recall. I also emphasize exam technique and biological drawing to ensure you know how to present your knowledge.
Protein synthesis and cell biology often require structured diagrams to make sense of the pathways. Scientific method applications are woven into every single discussion we hold. I track your progress to make sure we are hitting your specific target areas.
Developing a clear plan for plant biology is often the key to elevating your final grade. Providing a space where you can ask questions without judgment makes the process quite enjoyable.
