About Mariam
Hi! I’m a Biology graduate with professional tutoring experience, offering personalized one-on-one tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, and general science.
I work with students from middle school and high school through university and focus on making difficult concepts feel clear, organized, and manageable.
I know that science courses can become overwhelming when one missing concept makes the next several topics harder to understand. My approach is to identify those gaps first, explain the material in straightforward language, and then work through practice questions until the student can confidently solve problems independently.

I tailor every session to the student rather than using the same lesson for everyone.
We normally begin by identifying exactly what the student is struggling with. I then explain the concept step by step, work through examples with the student, and gradually have the student solve questions independently.
For Chemistry, I place a strong emphasis on problem-solving methods, calculations and understanding why each step is being performed rather than simply memorizing formulas.
For Biology, I focus on connecting concepts together so that students understand the bigger picture rather than trying to memorize large amounts of disconnected information.
