About Kirsten

I am an experienced tutor who believes that every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. My teaching style is clear, structured, and adaptable to different learning styles, ensuring that even complex ideas become manageable and understandable. In each lesson, I build a strong foundation by reviewing prior knowledge, introducing new concepts with relatable examples, and guiding students through practice until they feel confident working independently. I specialize in supporting high school and college students, particularly those in IB, AP, and A-Level courses, with exam preparation, coursework, and writing projects. What sets me apart is my commitment to not only improving academic performance but also fostering confidence, independence, and critical thinking. Students can trust that I bring both expertise and professionalism to every session, creating a learning environment where they feel supported, capable, and motivated to achieve their goals.

About the lesson

I use a student centered approach that breaks concepts into clear, simple steps while adapting to different learning styles with visuals, discussion, and practice. A typical lesson begins with a quick review, followed by an introduction of the new concept using examples, then guided and independent practice, and ends with a short reflection and summary. What sets me apart is my ability to combine clarity with adaptability, making lessons engaging and confidence building while strengthening problem-solving skills and independent thinking. I work with high school and college students, including those in IB, AP, and A Level courses, supporting exam prep, coursework, and writing projects, and I specialize in helping students who need both knowledge and confidence.
