About Zeeshan

Hello there!

I'm thrilled to be your Biology Tutor, guiding you through the wonders of the biological world. My name is Zeeshan, and I currently hold a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Additionally, I am pursuing a Masters in Genomic Medicine at Imperial College, further fueling my passion for the subject.

My teaching approach revolves around interactive and discussion-based learning. I believe that difficult concepts become more accessible when broken down into diagrams or posters. Your curiosity is not only welcome but also encouraged, as your questions will lead us to delve deeper into understanding the fascinating world of biology.

As an avid microscope enthusiast, I'm excited to offer live microscopy sessions, where we'll explore and illustrate different structures in the microscopic world. These hands-on experiences will help you connect theory with real-world observations.

Your success is my ultimate goal, and I am committed to tailoring each session to meet your specific needs. Whether you're struggling with certain concepts or require assistance with coursework, essay writing, or exam preparation, we will focus on those areas to ensure your maximum success.

I can't wait to lead you through the curious world of biology and help you unleash your full potential. Together, we'll embark on a journey of discovery and understanding that will not only benefit your academic pursuits but also ignite a lifelong appreciation for the subject.

Best wishes,
Zeeshan

Most sessions would run between one to two hours, with a five minute break halfway through (if required). My tutoring expertise comes from assisting and guiding peers in study groups, where I would explain concepts by breaking them down in to something simpler and digestible. More often than not it was with the use of diagrams and case studies.

With a standard session I hope to have the following layout. creating a session based on what the student is studying, so as to reinforce what has been learnt in class. These sessions would be suitable for GCSE biology & chemistry students, Biology A-Level students and First year undergrad students studying biological degree.

Introduction:
-Greetings and an overview of the lesson.
-Asking if the student has any questions about set tasks or question about previous sessions.
-As well as debrief of any marked work and points to improve.

Main:
-Discussions based around the topic (e.g. Photosynthesis) , with diagrams and presentations.
-Break down of difficult concepts into bite size chunks so it more understandable.

Conclusion:
-Question and answer session to evaluate comprehension of the material.
-Finishing off with any additional questions about the session.

Alternate sessions for exam preparation would also be available, by going through past papers together and working on exam technique. Building on each session by targeting weak spots and rectifying them.
