Born and educated in Shanghai, having lived and worked as a teacher in New Zealand and Australia for many years, as a first-place winner in speech contests in university, I understand and have experienced the key issues in language learning are listening sensitivity and pronunciation production accuracy. Students will not achieve success in a higher level of confidence before they first overcome those problems.
