About Sam
I’m Sam, from Buckinghamshire. I graduated in 2021 with a BSc in Economics from Lancaster University, a top 10 UK university and The Times and Sunday Times University of the Year 2018. In 2022, I completed an Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering at the world-renowned Abbey Road Institute in London. I’ve been teaching Economics, Music and English since I was 17.
Looking back to the pressure that A-Levels and university applications can bring, I like to keep my lessons relaxed whilst focused.
Learning is something I love, and it’s fulfilling when approached the right way. Teaching is just as rewarding: helping people enjoy learning while achieving their goals. Outside of economics, I play a range of instruments to a high standard, produce and release my own music, and speak fluent Spanish, which I taught myself. Sailing is another passion of mine, and I hold an RYA Day Skipper qualification. Other interests include hiking, calisthenics, reading, yoga and travel.

I specialise in the Edexcel A-Level Economics specification, and lessons with me are always tailored to the student. Together, we’ll quickly identify gaps in understanding and focus on those areas, using past paper questions as the foundation of each session. Given that essay questions make up a significant portion of marks available, we'll make planning and practising them a core part of the classes.
