About Kate
I am a 3rd Year Engineering student at Cambridge University. I am an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher, having taught drama for children aged 4-10 for several years. I assisted my younger sister in maths and sciences through secondary school up to GCSE (taken last year, so I have knowledge of the newest syllabus) and have provided notes and assistance to younger students in my college at university. As my formal teaching experience is in drama rather than Maths and Science I offer a lower rate than many other tutors you will find online. However, I have A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A Level, and A* in Maths and all three sciences at GCSE. I have also taken maths modules in every year of my degree and am confident in my ability to solve and clearly explain Maths and Physics content up to A Level, and all Sciences to GCSE. I am currently in the summer break between the Third and Fourth years of my degree and living at home. As face to face teaching is now limited, meaning I will not be teaching my normal classes, I am keen to continue teaching and to keep myself busy. I have a high level of availability and will be well prepared for all sessions. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am confident in my ability to improve both a student's understanding of the subject and their ability to apply this in an exam setting. In my experience, past paper questions are the best way to improve and prepare for Maths and Sciences. I will help unpick exam questions my tutees struggle with and can offer in-depth practice and explanations in specific topic areas as well as overviews of a subject.
