About Isaac
I am currently a first-year undergraduate student at Lancaster University, which ranks within the UK’s top ten. I’m studying Economics and Finance, which takes a particularly quantitative approach with Lancaster, along with looking heavily at investments and all things related. I only discovered my love for maths in year 13; the previous year I had been predicted a C for A-level maths as I viewed it as my “filler” subject (as I didn’t really enjoy it). Then, I fell in love with the problem solving of it and due to that newfound passion, achieved an A in my A-levels for it; it was my strongest result of my three! For that reason, I hope when I start tutoring, I can help students discover their passion for maths earlier than I did as it can lead to so many great things - most employers value maths over most other subjects as it is the most proven way to show analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Young and enthusiastic approach better suited for those who need to revise but don’t find it enjoyable enough to stick at it. I aim to make studying more positive and appealing so that students may be able to teach themselves and not require a tutor for extended periods of time.
