I am a second-year Juris Doctor student, former college professor, and HR professional with over a decade of experience. As a mature student, I bring humor, compassion, and flexibility to every session. I am president of my law school’s chess club and run fantasy football leagues for the Women in Law club—often teaching newcomers the ropes in fun, judgment-free ways. Too often we avoid trying new things because they seem intimidating, too challenging, or too pretentious! I believe the best teacher is a guide—someone who empowers students to succeed on their own terms, so let me be your guide on your academic journey!

About the lesson

TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND TECHNIQUES
My teaching methodology blends academic theory with real-world application, reflecting over a decade of Human Resources leadership and college-level instruction. As a former business law and human resources professor at Cambrian College, I developed and delivered curriculum for courses such as Employment Law, Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility. I use a student-centered approach, customizing each session to the learner’s academic level, learning style, and personal goals.

I integrate:

- Clear, jargon-free explanations to demystify legal and HR concepts
- Case-based learning drawn from actual workplace scenarios I managed (e.g., disability case law, OH&S compliance)
- Scaffolded learning techniques that build from foundational knowledge to complex analysis
