About Ben
I’m Ben. I’m 19 years old, an architectural engineering student and an avid sportsman. Through teaching and sharing knowledge, I am able to further my understanding of topics, whilst ensuring a comfortable, friendly work environment for tutees. I prefer to teach through examples and discussion. Maths problems can be frustrating, I’m certain I am able to empathise strongly with anyone struggling, as I’ve been through it all myself. In my own learning, I found teachers that were approachable, kind, and methodical to be the most successful. I try to emulate that experience for tutees, with the goal of showing them how enjoyable and satisfying it is to develop a true mathematical understanding of the content. Prior to a session, I prepare a run through of the topic, followed by progressively in depth examples, with regular reflection time to run through the questions and ensure understanding. If the tutee would like, I am also more than happy to provide extra work questions to tackle and bring back to me the next week.
