About Lev
I have been teaching German privately to various students for over a year. During this time, I have progressively taken on more students, adapted my teaching to many different skill levels and goals, and developed my skills as a tutor.
I am also a CRLA-certified peer educator through my professional work at Juilliard's Writing Center, where I have taught students from Juilliard and Columbia University through the two schools' academic partnership. I also have helped students who wanted to study in Germany successfully pass a B2-level German exam.

I teach German to students of all levels and goals. Typically, the aim of my first lesson will be to determine what level my student is at, adapt to their starting point, and then set goals together with the student. Depending on the student's level and goals, lessons may combine vocabulary, reading exercises, grammar, and conversation practice. My ultimate goal for my students, beyond merely teaching them grammar and vocabulary, is to get them to be confident speaking and reading the language and to make it feel less intimidating to them. While most of my students have been university students, I am happy to teach learners of all ages and levels.
