About Priya
A postgraduate with over 20 years of experience in multiple roles, I bring both academic excellence as well as vast practical knowledge to enhance communication and language proficiency at advanced levels. I'm an IELTS and business communication coach, with certification from the British Council. I mentor working professionals to enhance their communication skills, especially writing, both for a Band 7 or more IELTS score, as well as to be a better and more confident communicator at work.

My approach to teaching is learner centric, so I start with assessing the participant's initial proficiency levels in order to focus on the areas of improvement. Each one-on-one course is customised to the needs of the individual. I offer an intense up to 30-hour course spread over weeks for IELTS, with emphasis on writing as it's the trickiest section. While skills are tested separately in the exam, I do not segregate them while teaching as learning needs to happen holistically. I provide daily lessons, even on non-class days as improvements in grammar and vocabulary are gradual.

I took classes for IELTS General Training module with Priya. I needed help with speaking and writing in particular and managed to get a band 7 in writing and 7.5 in speaking. There was a lot of writing practice and detailed assessment even after the course ended and that helped me to finally achieve my scores.
