About Youssef
Bonjour! I'm Youssef, a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers and a native French speaker, educated in Tunisia where French was the language of my studies. I hold a Master of Science degree and have spent years teaching and coaching young people, as a teacher in Ontario French public schools and as a competitive swimming coach internationally, in Canada, Qatar, and Tunisia.
Teaching isn't just my job, it's my passion. Working with athletes and students has taught me how to motivate, structure progress step by step, and adapt to every personality and learning style. My students describe me as patient, organized, and encouraging.
Outside the classroom, I compose and produce music, which keeps my lessons creative, expect songs, rhythm, and real French culture in our sessions. Whether you're starting from zero, preparing for an exam, or polishing your conversation skills, I'd love to help you reach your goals. À bientôt!

My lessons are built around one simple idea: you learn a language by using it. Each session starts with a short conversation warm-up to build your confidence, then we work on a clear goal, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or writing using real-life materials like articles, songs, videos, and everyday situations. We finish with a quick recap and a short practice task for the week, so you keep progressing between lessons.
As a certified teacher, I adapt every lesson to your level and your goals: homework support for school students, conversation practice for adults, exam preparation (DELF, school French, IB), or French for travel and work. Patient, structured, and encouraging, I make sure you leave each lesson with something you can use right away.
Lessons available in person in Toronto or online, for all levels from complete beginner to advanced.
