I am a certified K-6 educator in the state of Missouri. I graduated from UMKC in May of 2024, and am about to start my second year of teaching. I am in my second year as a graduate student at UMKC to focus on literacy instruction.

I have been able to study and apply two different reading models, that I would be able to use depending on what your child needs. I can do phonics (letter sounds) based instruction for emerging readers, or comprehension instruction for more advanced readers (or those preparing for standardized tests). I have experience in tutoring in math all through high school and college. I love hands-on and visual learning in math to really understand and conceptualize what is happening as you work through problems.
