About Michelle

Teaching is not just a profession for me, it is my passion. I love learning and want to inspire that feeling in all students. It is my mission in life to help every individual realize their full potential. I love helping a struggling student gain confidence in their abilities and be successful.

About the lesson

Hello! I am Michelle Avda. I hold a Master's degree in Education and have over 20 years of teaching experience. I am an accredited IEW instructor as well as an ESL instructor. For the past five years, I have been teaching IEW in local in-person classes and am now expanding to online classes as well. I use the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and phonics, which is a research-based method proven to work with students of all abilities.
