About Lucas
Hello, I am excited to help people learn math as I have helped my younger brother and sister do well in their math and science classes for years. I graduated from Edgemont High School and am a student at Lehigh University studying chemical engineering. I tutor Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, SAT Math, and Middle School Math. I do not want them to feel coddled, I will achieve this by instructing my students to use me as a last resort, as they should put lots of effort into trying to understand the material by themselves. Outside of tutoring, I play the piano, play basketball, read, run, travel, and ski. My ideal student is someone who wants to improve.

I teach early high school math (algebra, trigonometry, geometry). I feel my tutoring style is direct, I teach material the student does not understand, then I want the students to immediately apply that knowledge to practice problems. A typical lesson will go as follows: I will ask if the student has any questions about problem types or concepts they do not understand, or specific questions they are having difficulty with. If they have no specific problems or subjects they think they need help with, I will help them cover material they are not fully comfortable with.
