About Layne
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelors of science degree in Chemistry with a 4.0 GPA. I am comfortable teaching primary, middle school, high school, and undergraduate level chemistry and math courses. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Organic Chemistry and I am here for all your science and math needs.

My tutoring approach is to be helpful, encouraging, and to put my students' minds at ease. I truly care about my students' learning. I address every student with my full and undivided attention, using a personalized approach just right for the student.
I have been tutoring students for 3+ years in both chemistry and math. I really enjoy teaching these classes and do my best to fit my tutoring to my student's needs! I can present information from your classes in different and relatable ways to help you understand the concept and better apply it to your exams. First, I will go over general concepts, then deeper into specifics, and finish with questions and practice problems based on your classes structure. I do my best to make your time and studying efficient and effective. I will always be available for last-minute test prep and questions as well!
