About Amber
Hi there! I am a chemist for a company in the Pittsburgh. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. I have a passion for teaching and helping others get to where they want to be in their studies. I am a ministry leader for elementary along with high school seniors. I tutored while in high school and here and there throughout college. Through my company, I have organized and led several programs for inner city students and minorities. I love sharing my love for STEM related subjects.
Throughout my years working with students, I have adapted to working with all age groups. I believe there is a unique way to approach each unique student.

My teaching method depends on the given situation. I strongly believe that the approach is the most important part. I want students to feel like learning is a positive thing. I would never want students to look at it as a punishment. I always found success when validating their struggles and looking at problems from their point of view. While vocalizing how to work through a problem may be a productive learning method for some, I like to utilize visuals and hands on approaches. I find this especially helpful for younger students. The most important thing is to always acknowledge that not all students learn the same way.
