About Maissa
I am an electrochemistry PhD student with a strong academic background and university-level teaching experience. I have completed five years of university studies in chemistry and have worked as a TD instructor for undergraduate courses, where I supported students through tutorials, problem-solving sessions, and exam preparation. My academic training covers physical chemistry, electrochemistry, thermodynamics and I am particularly experienced in explaining complex concepts in a clear and structured way. Having taught students with diverse academic backgrounds, I am patient, attentive, and adaptable to different learning styles. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy helping students build confidence, develop solid fundamentals, and improve their academic performance.

My lessons are designed to make chemistry clear, structured, and approachable, even for students who feel overwhelmed or discouraged by the subject. As a PhD student in chemistry with university-level teaching experience, I combine strong theoretical knowledge with practical teaching methods that help students truly understand, not just memorize.
I have taught undergraduate chemistry tutorials (TDs) and supported students with very different learning profiles. This experience has taught me how to identify common difficulties, explain complex concepts step by step, and adapt my explanations to each student’s pace and goals.
