About Alexandra
I have been tutoring Science now for just over 8 years.
I also have experience working in Research and completed a PGCE in secondary education where I have taught GCSE science as well as A-Level Chemistry and Biology.
During my time tutoring I have now taught over 100 students, including in School lessons well over 300.
All of my students have made significant progress in their tutoring, most making massive improvements and improving 3 grades or more. I have high standards for what I expect from students both in and out of session with an expectation that not every student will get an A*, but every student will dedicate themselves to studying to get the best grade possible. I'm very keen on keeping in regular contact with parents/carers regarding progress and any concerns I have which may hinder the students progress.

I approach teaching with the idea that every student learns in a different way. The key to enabling students to succeed is to identify the learning style of the individual and adapt to it. I structure my lessons around the needs of the students. Some students prefer to be lectured to, while others prefer to be given activities and engaging tasks. I pride myself in my ability to adapt to a students needs to enable them to succeed.
