About Satanick
I am a professional chess problemist. I solve, compose and critique chess problems for a living. Chess has been my passion since I was a kid - I learnt the game when I was 9, perhaps too late for today's standards - however, in my 20s I became an ardent student of chess composition. I don't play much these days because chess compositions take up most of my mental space, but over the years I have gained quite a bit of experience in the pedagogical aspect of the game and wish to impart the same.

Being a chess problemist myself, I believe chess is best taught through a problem-solving approach. So calculation, visualization and pattern recognition would be some of the things I will be putting great emphasis on. I will be assigning loads of puzzles as homework, and I will show how complex ideas can be broken down into simple logical steps.
