About Danilo

I am a professional classical guitarist, composer, and arranger, holding a Master's degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the Université de Montréal and a Bachelor's degree in Music.

I have over fifteen years of experience teaching classical guitar to students of all ages and skill levels, working both in music academies and in private studios. Alongside teaching, my background includes stage performance, original score composition, and musical arrangement.

This professional and academic background allows me to offer structured, highly personalized instruction tailored to each student's goals—from complete beginners to advanced performers. Lessons are available in English, French, and Portuguese.

About the lesson

My teaching approach balances solid technical fundamentals, musicality, and the personal goals of each student. Whether you are picking up the classical guitar for the first time or looking to refine your interpretation of advanced repertoire, lessons are tailored to your pace.

A typical lesson includes:

Technique and Ergonomics: Healthy posture, right-hand tone production (apoyando/tirando), left-hand agility, and physical ease.

Reading and Music Theory: Sight-reading, rhythm, and applied harmony to support autonomous practice.

Repertoire and Musicality: Exploring standard classical repertoire across eras (Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and modern), focusing on phrasing, dynamics, and expressive depth.

Who this is for:
Beginners to advanced players of all ages. Lessons are conducted in English, French, or Portuguese.
