About Lucy
I am a graduate from the University of Manchester. I studied at Oxford University to ultimately completed my degree at Manchester. I have been a learner of Latin for at least 10 years and have studied a variety of different modules related to the subject. I am well-versed in the art of Latin translation, both prose and poetry, and have studied a variety of different texts. Some texts and modules I have studied include: Roman Architecture, The plays of Seneca, Seneca's Letters, Caesar's De Bellum Gallico, Ovid (Amores, Metamorphoses), Cicero (defense speeches), A variety of Elegiac poets (eg. Horace, Propertius, Catullus) and I have Virgil's Aeneid extensively.

My lessons will usually be 1 hr sessions. I have taught in a school for the past year and am well-aware of the requirements for good teaching. I believe that any student can strive when they show a willingness to learn. I welcome all students with any variety of experience with the language of Latin and aim to encourage a joy for the subject, as well as mere improvement.
