About Janice
"Do you find that your neurodivergent brain processes the chessboard differently than traditional manuals suggest? As a coach with 13 years of experience and an Australian Chess Federation Coaching Certification, I work with players who benefit from clear, logical frameworks. I have competed in over 200 rated tournaments, which informs how I teach blunder checking, opening repertoire building, and endgame technique.

"Clarity is king. Moves must be logical.
I build structured sessions that focus on tactics and middlegame plans to ensure you understand why a specific move is chosen over another. Weekly puzzle sets reinforce the concepts we discuss in real time.
We dedicate specific blocks to analyzing your own game history to identify recurring issues. I maintain a patient environment where we review your decisions without external judgment or stress. This methodical cycle of study and review ensures that your understanding of the game remains consistent and grounded."
