About Evelyn
I earned my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Idaho, where I mentored first-year students in coding labs and supported K–12 STEM outreach. I have five years of online teaching experience, guiding learners who start with zero background. I’m known for my clear explanations, kind tone, and ability to make programming feel human instead of intimidating. Students often tell me they “finally understand how code works” after learning with me.

I teach programming by first showing students how to think like a computer. This makes everything else feel much easier. Once they understand how instructions, patterns, and logic work, we write code in Python, experiment with data in SQL, build ideas in JavaScript, practice structured reasoning in Java, and explore simple AI ideas without overwhelming details.
My lessons are interactive but calm. Students write small programs, debug without stress, and slowly build a sense of mastery. This prepares them extremely well for college programming, where the ability to think clearly matters just as much as the code itself.
