About Sumedha
Since middle school, I have been tutoring students, through programs in our school and extracurricular clubs. As a college student, I have experience with tutors, and tutoring students, and I have learned what works best for my students, and can provide the best results efficiently, at a comfortable pace.

As a tutor, my number one priority is ensuring that my students are not lost and that they feel comfortable to approach with me any questions they have. I have had experiences where tutors went too fast, and I was scared to admit that I was confused. To avoid this, I always ask my students what they are having problems with, and break the problems down until the level where they are comfortable with. Then, I teach them the concept. For example, if it is math, I explain how to approach problems using a formula or method. Then, we go through practice problems together until they are comfortable doing it on their own. Another problem I have faced is not knowing how to solve problems in edge cases or those that have some grey areas. I always make sure to go over these with my students to clear any confusion they may have later on. As a tutor, I make sure that students don't face problems I faced, and I believe experience is what makes the best teacher. I normally teach elementary and middle schoolers in math and science (specifically biology up to college level biology) , up to calculus, but I also have experience in teaching high-schoolers.
