About Nicole
I am a guitarist and psychology connoisseur from the Washington, D.C. area. I have an Associates of Science degree from an acclaimed Virginia college, and I am currently pursuing my second science degree. I have a passion for psychology and spend most of my free time engaged in independent study on whichever topic sparks my interest that week. I also have extensive experience working as a mentor to incoming freshman and I volunteer weekly at the Carleton Wellness Centre.

My main priority as a teacher is to provide a comfortable, inviting space for my students to learn without fear of judgement. I want them to feel comfortable asking questions and testing their knowledge. I would begin my class by taking the time to review previous material and gauging how comfortable my students are with their progress. I am an avid note taker and will teach my students how to take the most effective and condensed notes possible. I would also take the time to establish what kind of learner my student is and provide the necessary visuals or audio accompaniment to complement the reading.
