About Melissa

This year, I graduated from American University with a dual degree in Journalism and Spanish studies. These degrees have taught me a lot about effective communication and how to be an effective scholar of languages and cultures. I am in the process of completing my practicum hours for my TEFL certificate. I have logged observation and tutoring hours as part of my TEFL certification process. I also worked for two semesters as a tutor in a public charter school under the guidance of the English Language Learning Director.

About the lesson

I believe the main purpose of learning a language is effective communication; However, I want to get to know you, your language level, and your goals so that I can best personalize lessons to your needs. Increasing your confidence is one of my priorities. Feel free to make mistakes because this is a safe space. Be patient and keep trying!
