About Calla
I have extensive knowledge of the English language and of the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and AP English Language and Composition exams. In my own educational career, I earned a score of 36 on both the ACT English and Reading categories and a score of 5 on the AP English Language and Composition exam. I hope to use this knowledge to help students grow their skillsets, achieve their testing goals, and set themselves up for future success.

A lot of times, the stress around standardized tests has more to do with a student's scores than their technical skills. For that reason, I teach with a priority of lowering stress and demystifying the exam itself in addition to expanding the student's skillset. I teach the skills that are tested as well as strategies that can be employed when feeling overwhelmed, confused or discouraged in the testing environment. My lessons are highly personalized and ideal for middle or high school students who are struggling to cope with stress around the ACT, SAT, PSAT or AP English Language exams, or general test anxiety in the subjects of English grammar or reading.
