About Andrew
I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor for Spanish at St. Petersburg college for years to earn extra money while I was taking pre-engineering classes. As I mentioned before, I didn't learn at a young age so I know exactly what you will be going through as opposed to those who just "know it" from learning since a very early age. When I travel to Spanish-speaking countries, I can confidently speak with the natives. Although they can sometimes recognize I'm non-native, they cannot decipher that my native language is English from my accent. Their most common guesses are eastern European countries (which I do not know at all). You'll never pass as a native speaker (I won't either), but you will (in time) be able to read/write/speak/understand everything, just like native Spanish speakers who speak perfect English, but with a noticeable accent.
