About Joseph
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics and a PhD in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics. I held a post-doctoral position at the Center for Nonlinear Studies working in climate science and high performance computing. I spent two years at the Space Weather Prediction Center as an associate scientist and later started a consulting company specializing in high performance computing, cloud computing, and research software engineering.

Every student is unique and there is no "one-size-fits-all" strategy for learning. I find it important to listen to students and have them demonstrate how far they can reach when learning new concepts. After identifying knowledge, resource, and learning process gaps, I help students through worked examples to develop methodical problem solving processes. Students are then given additional resources to further read about core concepts in addition practice process to further exercise their problem solving skills.
