About Shaolin
For my educational background, I took the O/A Level examinations and received 95% and 97% in my O Level Mathematics and Additional Mathematics respectively. In 2021, I graduated my A Levels with A* in Maths.
I have tutored 2 students this year (one in 10th grade and one in 11th grade), and they both received A's in maths. Keep in mind, these were the same students who had a fear of the subject when I first met them.
My goal is to build your confidence in Math and relieve the anxiety you feel during exams. Once you know that you've attained a grip on your concepts, the grades will flow in automatically. I use a lot of analogies to help you visualize the math, so hopefully you'll enjoy my methods!

What sets me apart from most tutors is that I know how to teach maths so that the student can visualise what is happening with the numbers instead of feeling the need to memorize it.
Teaching technique: I follow the chronology of topics on the textbook, I make them absorb the concept, I practice problems with them, and then let them tackle a problem themselves explain to me out loud their thought process behind solving it. Finally I take weekly/biweekly mock exams to assess their progress.
Teaching level: any student from elementary school to high school.
